Re: Equivalencing of nodes of a FEM mesh

May be one remark. In FreeCAD FEM I do try to avoid to work with meshes manually as much as possible. Everything is on the geometry. Only the preferences of the mesher are changed but not the mesh itself once it is meshed. since all constraints are defined on the geometry you can make the mesh as of...

Re: Reaction force request

Yes reaction forces are added automatically in 0.19 If you use the solver task panel you can edit the inp file before run the inp file. Furthermore the use of the splitted inp file option makes sense in this regard. No the edit can not be saved ATM. Hi all! I have freecad 0.19 on My Macbook and in ...

Re: Quad Mesh

AFAIK there is no tool in FreeCAD which can do this on a existing mesh. In GMSH this can be adjusted on mesh time. ATM we do not create two nodes AFAIK. Means modells are clued together. If you would like to have to nodes you have to make a gap in the geometry. That said. Since mesh are clued alread...

Equivalencing of nodes of a FEM mesh

aerospaceweeb wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:51 am ... Is there a macro that is already written that can perform the equivalencing of nodes in FreeCAD FEM? ...
What exaclty is meant by "Equivalencing of nodes of a FEM mesh?" Does it mean you would like to clue meshes together?

Re: FEM CalculiX execute error: nonpositive jacobian

if the column is moved down in z just by 1 mm the edge is gone ... and the analysis runs smooth even with a max element length of 100 mm

Re: FEM CalculiX execute error: nonpositive jacobian

Sorry for posting in English. The only words I understand are CalculiX and nonpositive jacobian ... But I will give some input anyway ... screen1 shows the nonpositives green. Screen2 schows the the object where the green dots are. There is a edge which should not be there. After the fussion it is s...

Re: Non-architect question about BIM process

BIM does not mean you do not have any drawings anymore. Your drawings might not be "painted" they are devated from the BIM model. May be the data from the BIM-model is transvered to the manufactor directly, thus he does need to read the drawings and manually put all the wallues in his mach...

Re: Example for 1D analysis

As allways with any new feature in the regard of a solve. We need to know what we would like to implement, thus we need a working solver input file which has the new feature and runs with the solver.
