Re: Installable - Add-on Workbench

Would it be unrealistic to expect the Wb author to create a command that creates a File>Open dialog pointing to FreeCAD.getUserAppDataDir() /Mod/WbName/Samples for example? The fonts dialog button in Draft>Shapestring taskpanel comes to mind though for different reasons.

Discussion thread for issue #4306
I see no point in keeping this ticket open, I've been using pip to install and update multiple packages on Windows and Linux for the past three days without experiencing any SSL issues.
The OP was given a chance to give feedback but unfortunately none was forthcoming.

Re: How often does FreeCAD crash

[*]Move the mouse over the 3d view and start scroll (this shows no effect because the dialog is modal) [*]While scrolling press the Return/Enter key I think @freedman is leaving the cursor over the dialog and the scroll in is changing the value. If I replicate that I don't get a hard crash, hour gl...

Re: [Bug tracker #4360] Bug in 0.19? BOPcheck fails on pocket of ShapeString

Sorry I can't test by myself ATM, but it would be interesting to know whether a lone ShapeString also produces the same error when checked. If not, does a Part/Extrude of a ShapeString do ? If not, does a PartDesign/Pad do ? @TedM has done these tests already see above https://forum.freecadweb.org/...

Progress Report 2: Repeated install steps on Win10 box but also needed to upgrade the NVidia Driver (which I thought the Toolkit did but apparently not). Is there any way to connect a button in the preferences with a python function? I didn't find any example.
Is the CfdOF Wb Preferences > Run Dependency Checker what you're looking for as an example? https://github.com/jaheyns/CfdOF

@vocx, thanks for the advice. I've tested a variety of files from both late 2019 and mid 2018, all is working correctly from what I can see.

Re: Add ons manager - development and bugs topic

I have one question. I need to maintain a collection of user defined package sources, it is not only a list of urls, it is a full json file. I can Maintain it in a real json file inside UserAppDataDir but i can also use App.ParamGet and put the json content inside a String parameter. Which approach...
