Only "version" I've tried to download is
I meant to add this link to my last post, old age you know.
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... g/0.19_pre
I just down loaded, unzipped and ran FreeCAD_0.19.23141_Win-LPv12.1.6_vc14.x-x86-64.7z
It seems to run fine.

Re: Where is assembly

Like some others I worked in industry for 45 years. After downloading FreeCAD 19 to a directory you need to double click the FreeCAD.exe in the bin directory. On my machine I added a shortcut to the desk top to start it. There are there three types of assembly programs A2plus is most like the progr...

I have built several parts within a single file (A).
Here is another option. Instead of building all of your parts in one file build them in different files. In this instance I saved your parts to 3 different files then added them to an A2plus assembly file.

Re: a2plus: Constraints inconsistent. Cannot solve System.

Is this an issue with the "Part Design" Workbench, or A2plus? I'm using: Windows 10 FreeCad 19 Hi Johtie. When I opened your zipped assembly files both trees looked OK on my machine. Sometimes the sorting of the constraints get a little confused, this can usually be fixed by pressing the “Repair Tr...

Three programs I use with A2+

Here are three programs that I use with A2plus Assembly program. I have combined them into a workbench. If you think they might be useful you can download the workbench at https://github.com/DanMiel/A2plusmore/releases Instructions are in a pdf in the GitHub download In Auto On I use the left mouse ...

FreeCAD V0.18.4
You might try updating FreeCAD to Ver 19. It has not been released but programs run very different between 18 and 19.
You can download 0.19 from here:https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... g/0.19_pre
I hope this helps.

Anyone willing to try a new A2plus interface?

The zip file has a folder that needs to be copied to the mod folder. The interface is the original interface but I changed it so you don't need to use the control key to select two features. Plus when you have selected your second feature the machine selects a constraint it thinks you want and uses ...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

It could be possible if we could store FreeCAD data in such database with IDs instead of file paths. Can somebody point to any direction where I could experiment with code about it? : A pdm doesn’t track a file by its name or address. Instead it renames it to its own naming convention. Let’s say yo...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I want to suggest one little addition to make it more convenient: backlinks to parent assembly. When we add part to assembly, let's add some link to this assembly into the part/subassembly file. If this file is used through several assemblies, let there be list of [annotated] links. I don't think y...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Im not being able to find correct constraints to put the selected part centered to the holes. Hi jmmartin I put my answer to your question in a different post so that people who are searching for it might have a better chance on finding it since I'm guessing the search engines only look at the titl...
