Ah - I'll do that. Guess that works with Mach3.

Re: Path for lower section
Attached the FreeCad file with the complete path. I'm using a 0.3mm end mill first, (oddly enough, I can't make the 0.61mm hole with a 0.6mm end mill), and then move on to a 0.6mm end mill. The adaptive bit also didn't work with a 0.6mm end mill, but it wanted a smaller one (I can see no reason for ...

Re: Path for lower section
Hi Gene,
I can modify the "finish depth", and that seems to do the trick.
The problem that persists is that it won't work its way around the post. It only clears between the face and the post.
Any ideas, or am I best off writing that GCode myself and adding it?
Best regards,
Christian

Re: Path for lower section
Hi Gene,
The "final depth" field is grey, and I can't change it when using the adaptive clearing feature. If I change it in the stock, then I won't be able to do the contour all the way down?
Best regards,
Christian

Path for lower section
Hi All, Sorry to be a bother, and I'm sure this is just due to me not knowing how to do this properly.... Attached the drawing of a little setting lever. It was imported from Autodesk as a .step file, and that worked a treat. All I want to do is to create the path to make the object. No problem with...

Re: Making Watch Parts & A huge thank you to everyone involved in this project
FreeCad is easy to use, and does everything I need from start to finish, including producing the GCode for my mill. On top of that, I got help here when I needed it, and I'm very grateful for that as well. You must be the most lenient end user ever ;) I went to your website and I look at the Youtub...

I now glue to an acrylic board - works a treat, and is nice and stable. On top of that, you can use coolant.
