Re: Boolean operations

After days of struggling.... fixed it.

The stl had to be repaired using another software (meshlab) before importing. After thins and transforming it to a solid, all bollean worked.

Cheers.

Boolean operations

Hello Can anyone help me with some Boolean operations with the file attached. Before, anything, the mesh must be converted to solid, it wasn't done because the file was too big and I couldn't post it. I want to be able to get: 1- The solid intersection between the fuselage and the cube. 2- The solid...

Boolean subtract not working

Hello, (The attachment was too big 10mb so I only attached a screenshot with a montage) I am trying to work on a solid made from an imported mesh stl file. Lets call A the main imported body and B the solid cube. I was able to get the intersection and the section between A and B. I was able to remov...

Re: How to attach these two sketches

Actually, I had in mine to be able to easily transform the inner sections without loosing the overall shape. As you can see in the new file, fuselage.fcstd , that took me a wile and I have the felling that there should be a proper way to do it. Al the sections where created and then adjusted/shaped ...

How to attach these two sketches

Hello, It must be a simple thing but haven't figure it out yet. I'm building a solid based on lofting sections (Sketch001 and Sketch002) but want them to be constraint to the intersection of the "Sketch" that will give a shape to my solid. So, how do I constraint "sketch001.H_Axis" "12-Point" to "Sk...

Auto fill spreadsheets by changing objects

Hi, I would like to know if is possible to automatically fill spreadsheets cells with pre determined variables from a sketch. Usually one enters a variable in a spreadsheet linked to an object that will change or constrain this object. I would like to know if the other way around is possible? Exampl...

Re: how to create hull

Hello. If you're new at Freecad... good luck. I've been forcing myself in Freecad 4hours a day for the last 2 months and it has been hell. First off, You cannot have that approach of comparing Autocad to Freecad and expect to work the same way or the the same things. Forget about it. My advice if yo...

Re: 'Twisted' aerofoil trailing edge using BSplines and lofts

Proj.v4_naca4409.fcstd … where exactly is the problem? - sketching the profile by BSpline - duplicating / cloning and scaling the master profile - placement of the 3(?) scaled profiles in 3D - building a loft / sweep / pipe out of the profile array HFoil.PNG Hello, first of all, thanks for the help...
