Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
Don't worry, no offence detected here. I'm just curious. Hello, I came back here just to satisfy your curiosity. My experience with Fusion360 is very positive. It's a totally different level and cannot be compared to Freecad. Not perfect, but very easy, works very well and the cam part is very effi...

Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
I had time to experiment with the original model and to save some time I only worked with half of it.I projected lines through the mesh in a few places and created some surfaces that are a good approximation, but no more than that, just to establish the principles. At both the tip and the centre I add...

Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
I'm giving FreeCad one last chance.... Do you think PathWB could work tihs, by first milling the upper part, than in a second step with a clone of the piece up side down???? The .fcstd file is quite large 70mb, but I can upload it somewhere if needed. Screenshot from 2019-03-27 16-29-51.png Screensh...

Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
This project isn't too far removed from some things that I have in mind for the future. As a result I got a bit curious and spent a little time playing with a few things.I downloaded the .stl you gave the link to and had a bit of a learning process to go through regarding working with meshes.I learn...

Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
the Path worbench did not perform as I was expecting, most probably because I'm not using it correctly, i You're not giving us much to go on here. What were you expecting? What did you get? I have quite a few videos in my youtube channel dedicated to Path workbench. I would suggest you get started ...

Re: Is Path workbench up to the task
Hi @joaopcrodrigues Please, first explain what was not satisfactory in your basic use case test. As expecting things will improve in more complex use cases, they won't. From the description, we will likely be able to figure out, if it's due to Path or things like build quality of your machine. Or i...

Is Path workbench up to the task
Hi, I've recently build my cnc machine and I need to mill a wing like object out of a piece of wood. My firsts tests with Path workbench and a simple object were not very satisfactory, and I was wondering if it is up to the task for more complex things like a wing? Best regards. Re: Boolean operations
After days of struggling.... fixed it.
The stl had to be repaired using another software (meshlab) before importing. After thins and transforming it to a solid, all bollean worked.
Cheers.

Boolean operations
Hello Can anyone help me with some Boolean operations with the file attached. Before, anything, the mesh must be converted to solid, it wasn't done because the file was too big and I couldn't post it. I want to be able to get: 1- The solid intersection between the fuselage and the cube. 2- The solid...
