Re: Freecad installation Ransomware ?

Okay, thanks for your answer, so: I downloaded it from here: https://www.freecadweb.org/downloads.php I downloaded the lastest version, for Windows, 64 bits. "The latest version" is not a good answer. A good answer would be, I tried installing "FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x64-installer.exe" in W...

Thanks for picking it up.

DrC
The version of FreeCAD that you show is old. It is 0.17 which was released early in 2018. You should try the newest version 0.18, which was released this year. There are improvements in the base system that will probably solve some issues.

Re: Squashed controls in Ubuntu 19.04

When looking at https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=freecad&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all then apparently in 19.04 the FreeCAD package is not offered at all. eoan will this be the upcoming Ubuntu 19.10? There FreeCAD v0.18 is back. Yes, that seems to be the case. Kremitzki's response...

Re: On Limitations of the Witness Configuration Method for Geometric Constraint Solving in CAD Modeling

This paper presents discussions on ... I don't mind you posting papers and all that about geometrical constraints. I just have simple questions. Do you personally understand the mathematics involved in it? Are you working on solvers so this can be implemented in FreeCAD? Or do you just want to draw...

Re: Freecad installation Ransomware ?

I tried to download and use FreeCad today, ... It's impossible to answer any of your questions if you don't even mention from where you downloaded the package; which package, for which operating system, which version? No. FreeCAD does not contain any ransomware. It is free software. You can see the...

Re: Odd Behavior of Assembly Bench with Toroids

The assembly bench version is 3.16. Please be very clear about what you are talking about. There is no "Assembly bench". There is no official assembly workbench in fact. There is an Assembly2 workbench, which is no longer developed. There is also a successor to that which is called A2plus, whose ve...

Re: Separate wall extrusion ability for wall classification ability?

Sorry vocx for the extra thread. I thought I'd create a new one because this has concrete proposals of how to implement, starting with separating wall from extrusion. It seemed like a logical first step. Mods feel free to merge threads :) I don't think the threads need to be merged, but the very le...

Re: Coin3d license and website updates

Thanks for your patience. I don't think anything, actually. I'm not a license expert but I think it can still be used. I just wanted to draw attention to the wiki, which appears to have been fixed. Looks good! Please provide a link to the wiki. Not everybody immediately knows what you are talking a...
