Re: FreeCAD Logo Design

I wanted the logo to be easily recognizable, with simple shapes and font styling. I also aimed for a logo that had connection to what the program is, and decided to say goodbye to the F+Cog in the design. :) Hope you like it. This is very nice. Interesting to see if you could provide a complete col...

Re: ArchView only shows objects if section plane cuts through them

Is it a regression? Maybe it never worked? Cube isn't an architectural object, after all. yes I have the problem with Wireframe rendering. Section planes used for facade rendering with ArchView in TechDraw has been used as normal workflow by Yorik and me. You can verify it in this chapter of the Ma...

GitHub breakage is another nail in a 0.18 coffin that encourages 0.19 adoption.
Addon manager didn't break in 0.18 yet... somehow.

Re: Definition of the notion "Crash"

Ok. Let's introduce a notion of "error". This would mean there are recoverable errors (exceptions that don't impact the functionality), unrecoverable errors (exceptions that lead to a change in behavior or data loss) and catastrophic errors (exceptions that lead to segmentation fault and immediate p...

Re: Definition of the notion "Crash"

Here's a real example of "not a crash" reported by a user.

In my opinion, even if FreeCAD continue working, to the user it would still be a sign that there's something very bad happened.

Re: Draft workbench throws access violation when started

Hmm... looks like you have developed some bias against me, no? The comment you quoted means that the crash on Windows will happen if the code calls repaint(). I fixed it by replacing it with update(). It is not really useful to know where the exception is caught. Can anyone with a Windows debug bui...

Re: Constraint icons size at Sketcher edit

I have prepared a scalable icon. You can see they look at equal sizes with the font (35 hardware pixels) ScalableIcons.png Let's determine if a separate slider is needed or relate to the font size. If we link, we set it equal or slightly less. Or a slider, but in a fraction of the font size. Do you...

Re: ArchView only shows objects if section plane cuts through them

Greetings to the whole community! I think there is nothing unusual, you need to be a little more "inventive" ..... can you do the same or not? ;) This is the result of what I explained earlier ... I hope I was clearer I don't understand what you're telling. Clearly, walls are displayed but the cube...
