FreeCAD Corsair F4U Series

Doing a series on creating the FreeCAD Corsair F4U. This is intended to cover creating a 3D model from 2D images, a more complex look at wings/air foils than was done in the past, and the use of surfacing. Two videos of the series are already uploaded, the rest will go live one video per week. Enjoy...

Re: Converting the Libre/Open Source Camera:AXIOM in FreeCAD

Of course you're going to experience a significant learning curve jumping from Solidworks to FC. But if you've seen the activity on this Forum and even in this thread it's a very high probability that you'll have support, and highly engaged support at that. FYI, there is a high quality series of vid...

Re: Cylinder head - Months in the Making

Hopefully you'll see I use the symmetry constraint a lot later on - Sometimes I'm still thinking in terms of other platforms and forget about the symmetry constraint and how much time it saves. Re: Cylinder head - Months in the Making

Hi chrisb - absolutely. I could watch only 1/2 hour, then the video didn't continue. It is impressive how fast you get using the keyboard hot keys. Here we go with the comments: We usually recommend not to attach sketches to faces, but rather attach them to principal planes and use Expressions , or...
