I've tested with ExprCompleter branch and it works with the brackets omitted:

Code: Select all

=Mdl == 4 ? NumWells_A : NumWells_B
The issue is not without the quotes; it's *with* the quotes

directory/index for doc templates

Coming back to do a small doc task, can't remember stuff... Is there an index / directory page somewhere that has links or explains the special syntax for things like "introduced in 0.17" and things like that? I guess what I'm asking for is a link to a list of the templates. I see links for unused, ...

Re: conditional expression in spreadsheet

Thanks both for the replies. It appears the parens around the expression screw things up.
I will make a note in the docs.

conditional expression in spreadsheet

Probably something stupid, but I can't get the following to work as an expression in a spreadsheet (Mdl, NumWells_A,B are cell aliases): = (Mdl == 4) ? NumWells_A : NumWells_B Do relationals not work in spreadsheets in v 0.18? If not, do they work in 0.19? OS: FreeBSD 11.3-RELEASE-p12 Word size of O...

Re: Fill in wedge on bevel

@TheMarkster yes, that is what I want. I don't see how to do a pad in a custom direction in v 0.18; do you know if that requires v 0.19? In any case, thanks for the head-bang... it made me realize I can get what I want by sketching another triangle in the xy plane at the bottom and lofting it throug...

Re: Spreadsheet -- Is there a way to deactivate graphic recompute?

The losing-focus idea seems like a good approach, although you would want that to be the "freecad focus" as opposed to the actual keyboard focus. One often switches apps (e.g. to read mail) and then back. Treating only aliased cells wouldn't really solve the problem. It would help, but I often chang...

Re: Spreadsheet -- Is there a way to deactivate graphic recompute?

I need recomputes to be done within the spreadsheet, but not in the overall model. Could you give an example why? You can type your formulas, aliases, values, ... and then the single recompute will sort and update everything in one go. Working with the spreadsheet itself is fine; it's working with ...

Re: Sketcher Constraints checkbox -- What does it do?

If the solver reports an error, e.g. redundant constraints, then subsequently added constraints are not shown correctly until you remove the error. So if you have such an error and after that you add a circle, starting with autoconstraints and you make the centers coincident, they well can show dif...

Re: Spreadsheet -- Is there a way to deactivate graphic recompute?

Thanks. That works, but it's awkward because the hints for member names don't show up as you type; when you're in the formula editor you can't switch to the project with the sketch to look things up. Unfortunately, that makes it unusable (for me) in practice. OS: FreeBSD 11.3-RELEASE-p6 Word size of...
