Re: Problem with sketch position. Help is wanted

Then question would be - how to rotate sketch with external geometry ? What I used recently and should work is this: Create SubShapeBinder of Sketch that should be referenced under the same Body. Rotate/translate the SubShapeBinder to the desired position of the referencing sketch. Map the referenc...

Re: Problem with sketch position. Help is wanted

What moves is not the sketch but its geometry. This happens because all of it is linked to projected external geometry points. They are always projected normal to the sketch so with the changing angle their projections move as well.

Re: How to merge several sketches preserving all their constrains and parametric formulas?

That's why may ask about unusual stuff or in an unusual for all way. As I mentioned above the code should either be simple (copy just the values) or provide full dependency solving ability (like "Duplicate selection" does). What if Sketch1 depends on Sketch2 via expressions and you try to...

chrisb wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:46 am "Through all" could be a problem though.
Wasn't that fixed recently when the length is now calculated by the parent feature bounding box and some other infos? So the Tool is now reasonable length instead of the fixed 10m in the past?

Re: Fillet problem

Yes, but there are no points in the sketches causing these faces. Check Subtractive lofts closer. Since the vertical lines are very different sizes the algorithm does not find correspondence properly (at least from our perspective) and splits the arcs/lines to match contours. And weird things happe...

"You should not" unless you know what you are doing. Same with mixing Part/Part Design.

Re: Make a dang hole in a cube

Or maybe a Preview like in Loft/Sweep would be nicer ;) :D
The Tool shape is generated anyway, why not just show it to the User?

Re: How to merge several sketches preserving all their constrains and parametric formulas?

This should be reported as FeatureRequest/bug - Sketch Merge is not aware of expressions. But this should require a dual dependency tree as in "Duplicate selection", handling cases when sketches depend on each other, ....

Is there a reason why you used separate sketches?
