17 or more days have past since version 0.20.2 was released as a new version release. Though the portable build along with Mac and Linux builds for this version are completely missing in action (MIA). Hopefully @Kunda1
someone from the FreeCAD group can explain these minor missing builds.

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
Can you please omit the last number. This is then indeed confusing. There is no such FreeCAD 0.19.4.x, just 0.19.4. You can number your package as you like, like I do with the Win installer executables. In there naming scheme I made clear that all of them install FreeCAD 0.19.4, the only difference...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
Go ahead, I would call it 0.19.4 -2 though, to differentiate from the actual freecad version number. I don't understand what was the issue with doing this from the get go? I thought there was a problem with detecting the number at the end or something like that because otherwise I really don't see ...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
... Why is it so important to incorporate the Win installer number? Is it just for the Win installer, and totally independent of FreeCAD's version. The packages for nuget/chocolatey are immutable. When FreeCAD updates to the latest version of the installer even though the core version of FreeCAD ha...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
I have decided the best course of action for the update of the FreeCAD Chocolatey package. It will take the version from the fileName and add the digit before the file extension (EX: FreeCAD- 0.19.4 -WIN-x64-installer- 2 .exe ) to become 0.19.4 . 2 ) Since NO ONE here has any better Options just ple...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
FreeCAD has the Version 0.19.3. Then there are several installer versions for this release. This is reflected in the "file version" of the installer. This is exactly the problem. I think it is clear that when you run an installer for FC 0.19.3, you get FC 0.19.3 and this is the case. And ...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
I'm curious if the delay in having downloadable assets for 0.19.4 is because of the discussion in this thread?

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
adrianinsaval I am being sarcastic here. ... DO NOT Warrant a minor version change is just bad versioning. ... , but this is how the current versioning system is for FreeCAD. ... I understand your concern, but I see no reason to not make a new installer. ... I never said that creating a new installe...

Re: FreeCAD Versioning
No, they're all 0.19.3, there is no following version number, the number at the end of the installer is because they're different builds of the installer, from the same FreeCAD source. For example IIRC the only difference between installer -3 and installer -4 is that one has a flag to skip the inte...
