Re: Add LCS to assembly

I have now created a new tutorial to cover this topic: https://github.com/thermalling/FreeCADAsm4_TutorialSubassemblyTable Hi, that's really welcome, but ... it seems empty right now, is this correct ? Also, I see in your screenshot that for the Leg, you have created a Parts group, in which you hav...

(Side question: Is it possible to toggle all LCS display on/off?)
no, I don't think so, and it's something that is really missing in FreeCAD. Same for selection filters. I would say that these UI enhancements should be the goal for v0.20

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

When I insert a fastener then attach it, other fasteners don't show in the list of possible attachment sources. (i.e. if I wanted to attach a nut to a washer.) Is this correct? yes. It's a choice, because if you have a lot of fasteners, the list can become very long. Dunno if it's a good choice tho...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Do I have the concept wrong? Or have just missed the correct way to build a piece of the assembly? This is correct, but since Asm4 v0.9 you can do it simpler: if you want to design a single part with the PD wb, you can use a Body directly, no need to wrap it into a Part or a Model. In a new file, c...

Am I creating the part file wrong? This happens because the LCS and the attachment geometry are in different coordi...

Re: Catia 3DXML (again)

I've written a mail to Laurent Ribon (laumaya@users.sourceforge.net) with a link to this thread, let's see if he answers. he did answer (that was fast) : Hello Zoltan, > Do you still maintain GLC-lib ? I still maintain GLC_lib for my own usage. I use GLC_lib at work to develop proprietary 3D applic...

Re: Catia 3DXML (again)

Is there any plan to support some propietary formats from major vendors? There is an open-source application that seems to support the 3dxml format: http://www.glc-lib.net/ if it's already available and with a compatible license (LGPL) I think it would be a very (very very) useful feature. The GLC ...

Re: Animation Add-On

Success at last - I could not hide the axis system to allow me to select the vertex with the mouse Nice - I've had that too sometimes. What I then do is to select another vertex, which moves the LCS out of the way, and then select the vertex I really want. Next question: Is there a way of saving a ...

The model was built using the V0.19 PartDesign workbench and assembled /animated with Assembly4 V0.9.4.
It's a pleasure and a lot of pride to see what you are able to do with some of the tools where I can participate, thank-you for that.

I'm now a heavy user (0.19) and I can state that crashes are totally anecdotal.
I confirm, FreeCAD v0.19 has become very very stable. Big thank-you to the developers.
