Re: How to do a character (cartoon) in 3D

Salut Normand!

That's what I tought!

I will give a try but I am sure it will take time. I did the tutorial "Cup" in Blender. Everything went well but it's easy to follow a recipe. It's another story to create from scratch.

Thanks for the idea PrzemoF!

Thanks! I think you're right about Blender. But from what I saw, if I'm not mistaking, the learning curve is bigger than FreeCAD. I will look to learn Blender but in the longer term.

Re: How to do a character (cartoon) in 3D

I had a look at Blender. It is very interesting but before learning this 3D design tool, in which I will have to invest a lot of time, I'll go further in FreeCAD. I also looked at Nurbs and Silk and I'm learning those tools. But for now I had a try with basic FreeCAD tools and got something not too ...

Re: Nurbs and Silk errors

I did the first Nurbs tutorial and it work fine. After that, just to see if I have the same error as Syres, I switch to Silk WB. I didn't had any error.

Next, I'll do the tutorial 0.02!

Re: Nurbs and Silk errors

if 'mode' wasn't assigned, that means your selection was not recognized. In Silk you always have to select your input before hitting the function. here is an old tutorial for basics https://github.com/edwardvmills/NURBSlib_EVM/blob/gh-pages/Tutorial%200.01%20ControlPoly4%20and%20CubicCurve4.md just...
