Re: Python object with OriginGroupExtension

But if you intend this to be a reusable parametric object with some not so simple logic, then writing your own class is the right way. Yes, @vocx is right! My final goal is that : rewriting several Arch tools to behave in an "assembly way". In the end FreeCAD is a lot focused on mechanical...

That can be easily automated to match the joined wall seamlessly... :D

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

And this is what I have in mind for the super basic wall without BaseGeometry.
It's a Part Wedge, where the splay is controlled by an angle. This angle can be automatically calculated according to the the wall it have to join.

Re: like ACAD

Attached you can find the use of a compound of the Part Workbench
on some objects of the Draft Workbench.
the compound have been linked 2 times.
and an attempt to have a sketch to auto follow the compound.
Note that I don't know anything about PIDs, and expecially how you mean to use labels.

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

This is ideed good, and if we find interesting to evaluate the possibility to invest on the approach i'm proposing, I'd like to support Arch-sketch, but in a different way: - I'd like every wall segment to be indipendent and bound to just one sketch sub element. - I'd like every window to be inserte...

Re: like ACAD

Is there a way to create attriebute like in ACAD? Is there a way to create blocks like in ACAD? Welcome to the forum, please provide a good description of what you want to achieve. ACAD and FreeCAD are really really different, and with FreeCAD you can get really advanced parametric tools... So, wha...

Re: GSoC Proposal: Extended functionality of Rebar Addon

Nice, may I suggest for the interface to just put the name of the "Column data" and a checkbox on the left, without a the Hide label, and set all of them checked by default (so user will uncheck what he wants to hide)?

It will just look cleaner :)
