Re: Flatpak version of FreeCAD flickering on Fedora 38 and 39
I'm back on Arch and FreeCAD works as before (perfect) with Xwayland and 2080 Ti. I'm looking forward to native wayland support though :) @GeoffG: If you give up on debugging, you can give my Arch system a try: https://github.com/aCeTotal/hypr-arch (Follow the steps). Thanks for the feedback and su...

Re: Flatpak version of FreeCAD flickering on Fedora 38 and 39
Sorry for the lack of feedback on this from me. After a bunch of system updates I can confirm that this problem is still occurring. I decided to investigate the Flatpak options and discovered that FreeCAD won't even start under Wayland if you disable "X11 Windowing System" and "Fallba...

Re: Flatpak version of FreeCAD flickering on Fedora 38 and 39
I'm beginning to think that it might be Nvidia driver related because firstly we know that Wayland doesn't work as well on NVidia as X11, BUT I've also started getting a couple X11 related issues such as restoring the screen from a sleep. Overall though, it's working better on X11 atm

Re: Nextcloud integration?
I store my FreeCAD models in Nextcloud and use the Nextcloud client to synchronise my local copies with the server. FreeCAD happily reads and write files stored in Nextcloud. I don't have a requirement for version control in Nextcloud so I don't know if you can edit earlier versions of models in Fre...

Re: Flatpak version of FreeCAD flickering on Fedora 38 and 39
Yes it does work under X11 but that won't really be an option once Fedora 40 comes out.

Flatpak version of FreeCAD flickering on Fedora 38 and 39
I generally keep my machine up to date and after a recent update on Fedora 38 (which inluded NVidia the driver), FreeCAD started "flickering" as the mouse moved from one panel to another within FreeCAD. By flickering I mean that some panels went blank and then refreshed themselves in the f...

Re: How do I create a datum plane?
The Part Design workbench is a standard part of FreeCAD. Click on the workbench selector combo box (your images show it with the Start workbench selected next to the red circle), then select Part Design from there.
