Garage door and assembly3

Hi, I would like to model a garage door with assembly 3 workbench. I modelled the frame, the two door panels, and also the hinges. But I can not figure out how to put the hinge on the door panel with the assembly3 workbench. My end goal is to be able to rotate the doorpanel around the hinge, and mak...

The tank will be made out of 50mm thick PP sheets.
I am a little skeptical about the mechanical strength of this tanck
you have to be a super specialist to weld PP
Well, if you are interested, I can post you some photos, once it is manufactured, which is 6-8 weeks.

If I change the 45 degree line to an arc then it succeeds too:

Re: Create two pads on the side of a cylinder

The view orientation is taken from the orientation in the 3D space. Yepp, that was the key issue. I'm almost done, only the incoming pipe is missing. I can not create it with the sweep tool, freecad just hangs. Here is the freecad file: water_tank_wip3.FCStd Here is a screenshot about the problemat...

Re: Create two pads on the side of a cylinder

Who will fabricate it? If you have it done by a contractor, making it as a single PartDesign Body may be sufficient. Well, it is a 4m3 water tank (under the earth surface), but I'm not quite sure the guy well understood my requirements over the phone. So I want to draw it. I still have a couple of ...

Re: Freecad daily (many) segfaults

Another find.

freecad-daily (ubuntu ppa) does not show Part Designs create sketch (eg. creating a circle). While the Appimage version do show it.
Do not even show the sketch's plane.

Can somebody confirm?

Re: Freecad daily (many) segfaults

Cylinders.png Thank you very much the pointers. I'll open a thread on "help on using freecad", because I successed creating one perpandicular cylinder, however the second one do not show up (on pipe should be at the bottom of the side, and the other at the top of the side). May be a user ...

Could the above explanation (py2/qt4 vs. py3/qt5, conda link to actual conda.io) added to the freecad github release page?
Your reply as-is would be nice. Or a permalink to your reply.

Thanks for the info by the way.
