Re: OCC7.4 Released

I will test and report back. Netgen 6.2.1808 worked by patching the #include "BRebMesh.hxx" line. Now smesh makes problems: FAILED: CMakeFiles/StdMeshers.dir/src/StdMeshers/StdMeshers_Arithmetic1D.cxx.o $BUILD_PREFIX/bin/x86_64-conda_cos6-linux-gnu-c++ -DCSFDB -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DHAVE_LIMITS_H -DHAVE...

Re: Workbench-Starterkit refactor

As an end user yes, but as a packager packaging FreeCAD, like for example for the PPA purposes. I am guessing end users will need to use a command like update-alternitives. P.S. Anyway, this effort for sure won't be finished anytime soon, lets see where does it take us. Yes, if there is a better wa...

Re: OCC7.4 Released

Yes, I gave up trying to get Fedora netgen-mesher to use it. It doesn't seem to be maintained. looks like a lot of diff: http://git.dev.opencascade.org/gitweb/?p=occt.git;a=commit;h=7bd071edb13e5aa7a1d3aed4ed4366fe3da83324 seems to be fixed in the latest master of netgen by simple removing the head...

Re: OCC7.4 Released

Did anyone else run into this problem when rebuilding netgen with occt7.4?

Code: Select all

../libsrc/occ/occgeom.hpp:76:10: fatal error: BRepMesh.hxx: No such file or directory
 #include "BRepMesh.hxx"

Re: Workbench-Starterkit refactor

As for starters the imports change, when migrating the module? I guess this is the reason why we create the Startkit. I think people starting to code in python do not care much about the details how imports work as long as it works. So I guess the Starterkit should help them to get "started". I don...

Re: FreeCAD enhancements proposals

I created an empty repo and changed setting so it's only possible to contribute via pullrequests. As far as I understood it works like this: A person create a PR (like I did here for the template: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Enhancement-Proposals/pull/1). This person then selects people who n...

Re: Workbench-Starterkit refactor

In the long-term we should get rid of the habit to add all our module paths to sys.path. But I don't know how to keep backward compatibility as I don't know too much of the internals of Python how the module import mechanism works in detail. I tried this with the fem-module recently and this is mor...

Problem persists, though:
So FreeCAD doesn't start at all, or only if you open it with the mentioned file?

Re: AppImage 0.19.18694 - During initialization the error "No module named 'freecad'" occurred

Well what is the point of build numbers if they do not uniquely identify a build ? A build-number is a "build"-number. If you want another number for the bundle no one is preventing you from adding a PR here: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-AppImage I still don't see a link to any AppImage here,...
