What exactly do you do in FreeCAD? What data format do you import into FreeCAD and what data format do you export out of FreeCAD?
Will import into femMesh for post processing.

After read in the case file, maybe change a little, then output to solve.

Did you code an input filter for these file type for FreeCAD?
I am using pyNASTRAN to input case and result file. This is its model and my second inputed. I also have my own one, but very limited. Nastran is so compilicated.

In short... If you like to change the complete section ... go ahead :!: , this is not my stuff :D
I am just learning, but find quite a few WiKi pages hard to follow. Some are outdated, some are out stepped.

Re: Exercise on 2d meshing

In shape2mesh.geo, change these two lines as:

Code: Select all

// save
Mesh.Format = 'su2';
// Ignore Physical definitions and save all elements;
Mesh.SaveAll = 1;
Save "D:/CFDtest/aFace\FEMMeshGmsh\Shape_Mesh.su2";
I got su2 mesh. Will try to add BCs.

Edit:

It is generated by Mod\Fem\femmesh.py

Re: Updating the Wiki-pages for FEM equations, solvers, BCs

https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Extend_FEM_Module I am a bit lost in the Build System (cmake) section. You suggest a module name - FemConstraint<name>.py, and give FlowPressure to <name>, I was expecting FemConstraint FlowPressure.py as the final name. Better state general name first, set FlowPressure ...

Where is the icon file saved?

Or it needs be compiled? Is it possible to add a button in FEM WB with python only?
