Re: Missing constraint.

Son of a gun. I had, and the whole thing moved but for some reason that didn't register as the issue in my head. I assumed it was that diagonal since that is what highlighted when I clicked the "1 degree".

Thank you

Re: BRep_API: command not done - When doing a thickness

Another example in your "bottomBodyEdge" sketch. The top line suffer the same issue as above. It's a bit different for the left line. Here the 2 endpoints are set coincident to external geometry points, but the line is also set as vertical. This is indeed redundant as fixing the endpoints to extern...

Re: BRep_API: command not done - When doing a thickness

I think I understand most of what has been said here.

The only part I'm not clear on is the over constraint portion. I only constrain until I have 0 degrees left. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? I try to follow the guidelines I've read. Less is better, use symmetry etc.

Re: BRep_API: command not done - When doing a thickness

Hi, Below is what I get when I just recompute all your project (with a 0.18 release) : cam.png All your sketches are either redundantly or over constrained. This should be corrected first. Also I would advise to apply fillets as latest operations as it is quite sensitive. To achieve your hallow sha...

Re: BRep_API: command not done - When doing a thickness

You can add a smaller rectangle inside the Sketches named "bottomBodyEdge" and "Sketch003" to create the void. I wasn't able to get the Part WB > Thickness tool to work either. Thank you bejant. I had just started to do that figuring why not just pad the correct shape to begin with and skip the thi...

BRep_API: command not done - When doing a thickness

I've seen some info on this error but mostly related to fillets. In the attached file I'm just trying to do a thickness inward of 2.5 mm on faceds 33 and 17. This has worked in the past, though in the past I had built the additive loft portion first and worked from there. How can I accomplish/fix th...

Re: Crash after changing sketch constraint.

Ok so I should not be using the datum planes? I really wasn't sure. I watched a few tutorials where it said to use them, then others where it wasn't. So should I not use one if I'm just putting a new sketch on an existing plane? Datum planes can be very useful for two primary reasons. First, they c...

Re: Crash after changing sketch constraint.

All those datum planes are essentially useless because they merely attach to the previous elements. The model is therefore quite fragile. Gene Ok so I should not be using the datum planes? I really wasn't sure. I watched a few tutorials where it said to use them, then others where it wasn't. So sho...

Re: Crash after changing sketch constraint.

Ahhh ok. I was going to ask that, if the fillets should all be done at the end.

Is there anything else like that? Is there like a best practices sort of thing around I should read?

Thank you much.
