Re: b-Spline

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

Our pupils learn object cards as one of the first concepts. So there is no need to hide the property tab. There is no simplification in Libre Office Writer, no in GIMP, no in Libre Calc or Libre Base. We always start with the full interface. pupils learn the meaning of the properties and the impact ...

Re: Filling a Transition Gap Between Parts

the simplest way is to create Part filledfaces from the border curves.

More powerfull:
you can create BSplineSurfaces from the Faces which schoud be connected and BSplines Curves from the rails.
Then use the data to crea a BSpline Surface for the gap.

you can apply the loft methode to this shape.
At the end of your script you join all the loft shapes to a compound or a fusion

Starting with a school interface requires a relearning when the tasks become complexer in the 2nd year. I only use special menus/wo...

Re: Any interest in a Preference "autoload last workbench" ?

I have a small workbench where I do all the things I need at program start.
So I can load a special workbench and workfiles.
when my focus changes I change the init script of this workbench.

inspired by this question https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40141 https://youtu.be/KJhQCJXn6yo the transformation of the bender node is: for u in range(countA): for v in range(countB): [x,y,z]=poles[u,v] poles2[u,v,0]=(a+x)*cos(b*y+c) poles2[u,v,1]=(a+x)*sin(b*y+c) poles2[u,v,2]=z
