Re: Sketcher very sluggish/laggy

Yes, I "refactored" my sketches to use symmetry where it makes sense. I am getting a hold of the workflow now - much more fun like this.

Re: Sketcher very sluggish/laggy

Excellent, that's what I need. I already split my sketch into 3 sub sketches - one for the general helpers, one for the outer shape and one for the holes.

I then use boolean operations to cut the extracted parts - I am having a much better experience now - thanks again.

Re: Sketcher very sluggish/laggy

OK, thank you - I already thought that multiple sketches will be the solution, but since it is one part, I wanted to keep it in once sketch, especially since changing a constrained in the inner part of the frame also needs to change the arms. I guess I will have to make this "parametric" t...

Sketcher very sluggish/laggy

I think I must be doing something wrong, my Sketcher is getting more and more sluggish the more constraints I add. It is not an issue of RAM or CPU, since there is plenty available (16 cores and 48GB of RAM). I have noticed this previously but only at the end of my projects where I could live with i...

Fillet on Loft with specific measurements freezes FreeCAD

I have a very strange problem: I created a Loft from two sketches. Both sketches are fully constrained. I use a spreadsheet to store my variables. Now I changed one of the variables and suddenly FreeCAD froze. It took some time to find out which parts are the trouble makers, but I could isolate them...

Oh, you are right - thank you. Now I feel like an idiot for not having looked at the gcode.

Danke.

Re: One job, multiple operations returning to origin between operations

chrisb wrote: Thu Feb 14, 2019 1:22 pm You can try using different start points.
Thank you for your answer - that was one of the things I tried but the tool is still moving to the origin before moving to the starting point and executing the cut.

One job, multiple operations returning to origin between operations

Hello, I have searched but could not find anything - maybe I use the wrong terminology, if this has been answered already please feel free to link me to the according post. I am in the path view, added a job. This job consists of two operations, a pocket shape and a contour. After the pocket shape o...
