Re: add Donation button

Not sure the start page or the forum are the best places... For me you shouldn't be nagged all the time about donating, and I find it nice that you can simply run and use FreeCAD without seeing it ever. In truth, you never NEED to donate anything to use FreeCAD, and this is important. The right way...

Re: PartDesign new development, MultiBody and more

I am also getting a consistent crash simply by closing a sketch from a linked body. -create a body in a file -create a new file and link the previous body -edit a sketch in the linked body -segfault on closing the sketch (my linked body is inside a assembly container) Program received signal SIGSEGV...

In short, I recommend enable 'TreeView options -> Collapse/Expand' And 'Sync view', if you are working on multi-document projects.
Lesson learned ... thank you. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Re: Assembly3 preview

For me it doesn't work on previously saved files with external dependencies. It jumps to the linked object if the dependency is internal to the file(one file for components and assembly) but it won't open the external file if the dependency is saved separately . At the end of the video you can even ...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Hello RealThunder. Sorry to bother you here but I'm having an issue with your latest release. If I have an assembly with linked subassemblies/files ; right click in the tree -> link actions -> go to linked object(S, G) does nothing. It does not open the file with the linked assembly. If I close the...

Re: Tools, old Tool, new ToolBit and other fun stuff

this error only happens in the Windows version of the linkstage3 branch. On my Debian machine this does not happen. I will let RealThunder know Take a look at this: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?p=454352#p455958 I get a full on crash with Linkstage3 at any job creation. Knowing how col...

Re: PartDesign new development, MultiBody and more

Another small problem. After a pad, using the fit tolerance property makes the pad change direction. This didn't happened in the previous release.

Re: PartDesign new development, MultiBody and more

Edit 2: After playing with object visibility in the tree I can now see the logic behind it. If the latest feature is made visible we get the classic visualisation instead of the new preview. I like that. I only wish we had the option to somehow change the default way of previewing based on user need...
