I installed 0.17 via snaps on Ubuntu and was able to create the spring with bend following your method. Probably not the text book way, but it fused as one piece, no problem. Thanks everyone

Yes, thanks, I had to google creating a new part as I couldn't find it! Your right there should be a radius on the longer arm with a bend, I think I am almost there
