Re: coredump when loadin path workbench

wmayer, I followed up on some of your suggestions: a) python 3 bails indeed when I execute : from PySide2 import QtUiTools ui=QtUiTools.QUiLoader() b) renamed the designer path sudo mv /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/designer /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/designer.UNUSED now the the python3 sample survives without ...

Re: coredump when loadin path workbench

FYI, I installed flatpak freecad and that seems to work with the PATH workspace: flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo flatpak install flathub org.freecadweb.FreeCAD flatpak run org.freecadweb.FreeCAD setup a simple contour path and that seems to wor...

coredump when loadin path workbench

Not a fan of upgrade, but sometime its hard to avoid. Had FreeCAD v0.18 working nicely with Fedora 29 mainly using Part and Path workbench. Had to re-install OS and installed Fedora31 (Cinnamon) which installs FreeCad 0.18.4. The part workbench works fine. But the moment I switch to PATH workbench, ...

Re: upgrade to freecad 0.18 problem open second project

PS I just did a 'dnf update', which pulls all the latest rpms regardless. I was probably a couple of weeks behind. And I thought I better give that a spin. I do not see any changes on the Freecad related dependcies/rpms being pulled though. BUT, the FreeCAD crash is gone. :-)) Now I can open multipl...

Re: upgrade to freecad 0.18 problem open second project

1) do the equivalent of "Apt purge FreeCAD" rather than just "Apt Remove FreeCAD" so have found some old left overs from 0.17 and its add ons have caused an issue. 2) remove all add ons and see if your problems go away 3) on Ubuntu there was once a add-ons repository .... 4) The...

milling round channel

trying to complete a project of a mounting plate, and ran into a snag the last couple of days/weeks. I tried very hard to find a solution with the path workbench to create the needed g-code but I failed so far (sorry not very experienced on that topic). Though it seems/looks very straight forward in...

upgrade to freecad 0.18 problem open second project

Just upgraded (dnf update freecad) on Fedora29 from FreeCAD 0.17 to 0.18 couple of days ago. and I see FreeCAD crashing when using my existing 0.17 project. After two weeks of use I found out that even newly created projects seems to have problems. 1) open or create a new FreeCAD project and save it...
