Re: Anyone Willing to Share Source File for Study Purposes?

]Here is a carburettor linkage with some helpers: https://owncloud.gwdg.de/index.php/s/GP02Gltin2CVFgA/download. It may be interesting to see the start with PartDesign, followed by a PartMirror (PartDesign mirror is not possible here) and then continuing in different ways with both parts in PartDes...

Anyone Willing to Share Source File for Study Purposes?

I'm always trying to learn. I try to take everyone's tips here to heart, but watching tutorial videos online, I see a lot of people do no-no practices in their designing. Plus, a lot of the online videos are simple models. When I looks at the dependency graph for my models... good grief! they're com...

If you create a file with only the sketch you can use Std MergeProject to import it.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

[solved] Exporting Sketches for Reuse in Models?

I tried searching for this, but I couldn't find an answer... If I have a sketch that I use on multiple models - a key way slot for hanging on the wall. I've designed this with dimensions and it works perfectly. Rather than having to redraw this same sketch and redimension it in every model I design,...

Re: constraint for equal angles

I found this thread looking for the exact same constraint. In my case, I wanted a way to ensure that all of the angles on PacMan's ghost where the same. I finally wound up using equality constraints on the lines, but that wouldn't have worked if the lines were of different lengths yet still at the s...

... I'm even less versed in blender. How would I do that?
Try the other tutorial, and see if its easy to use, Tutorial Render with Blender.
I'll try it. Thanks.

...Surely someone has written a GUI program ...
POV ray is ancient technology. I still works, technically, but if you want more control wouldn't it just be better to use Blender?
I barely remember how to do it in POVRay. I'm even less versed in blender. How would I do that?

GUI .pov Editor? Please?

So, I've been playing around with raytrace rendering my models and I came across this tutorial - https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Tutorial_FreeCAD_POV_ray - on how to make the renderings look better. It's been over 20 years since I've delved into POV-Ray and I have no desire to relearn all of that ju...
