Re: Assembly 4 scripting assembly using macro

I mean, if you check the macro above, the created class has a lot (almost all of its) code copied from variantLinkCmd.makeVariantLink, but expurged from graphical stuff. It would be a pitty to duplicate this code (readability, maintenability, etc.). So, if we could cherry pick and isolate the requir...

Here is a (somewhat limited) macro that fits my needs right now: variant-link_batch-import.FCMacro The macro needs two path variables (defined at the top of the macro...

Re: explanation on ASM4 attachment

App.getDocument('ASSEMBLAGE').BRAS_Body.setExpression('.AttachmentOffset.Rotation.Angle', u'120\xb0') bonjour, c'est juste la représentation unicode de "120°". Ceci dit, c'est étrange d'utiliser cette notation, puisqu' unicode est utilisé en natif depuis python3. Si vous tapez dans votre ...

Re: Assembly 4 scripting assembly using macro

thank you, I'm on the way to achieve my goal (something like putting an array of variant links with a set of variables changes and Placements). I will put the macro here once "finished" (between quotes since it only fits my needs for now). Zolko , would you be open to some pull requests? I...

Re: Assemly 4, multiple of the same part extruded to different lengths?

necro-bumping this thread (sorry for that). Is that still the best method to use for different lengths of same cross-section? Or is there now (FreeCAD 0.21 / ASM4 0.11.12) some goodies to handle those "family table". I plan to use ASM4 to assemble several parts of that kind. Thanks in adva...
