Re: Fully defined sketch, multiple solutions
Hej, equal is imho "signless" as length constraints too ( <-> ) - so both solutions are in deed valid. Either equal gets a sign and/or - well one could think about making the length constraints optionally ( and optionally hidden ) "signed" in relation to the coordinate system ori...

Re: Fully defined sketch, multiple solutions
of cause its possible to improve with enough dedication and effort. :D What i thought of was stupid. A simple example of where i went wrong. given: p1 = {x=2,y=10} p2 = {x=-5,y=15} Just checking the signs of the points can not tell us if it have flipped. I thought that if p2.x becomes +5, then the ...

Re: Status of the Linkstage3 branch?
Hi all,
the branch, maintained by @realthunder Linkstage3 seems to has reached kind of stable state.

Re: Sketcher Toolbars
I agree with others that as more features are added to a workbench like Sketcher the need to consolidate some tools under a pull down menu with the one used most as the default is desirable. (....) For Hor/Ver constraint the default could be Auto(depends on the angle of the line will snap it to eit...

Re: PartDesign toolbar new sketch (new concept)
The goal is to handle 90% of the use cases for sketch on face in two mouse clicks, anything else can be handled by the 10 step process. Pretty much any addition like this will be an option so it can used or not but if I were a new user or had to make a couple dozen concentric attached sketches I wo...

Re: Sketcher : merge reference and deactivated constraints
Hi All, regarding driving / non driving ( constructional ) constrains: IIRC I once had the problem which was adressed by the "driving" option ( driving off ): I wanted to use the value the "not driving" constraint got ( due to other driving constraints ) as an derived value to se...

Hi Thomas,
I know and I will give the way you propose a try - but there was the suggestion to ask the question here too.
Rgeards,
Stefan
