Re: PR #4835 New sketch object rounded rectangle

Because of beeing afraid of beeing misunderstood: imho a object ( special case rectangle - here ) could always be intrinsic constraint ... the (intrinisc) constrains force the vertexes among themselves into a certian relationship. ... while some (rather) extrinsic constraints define the relative pos...

Re: PR #4835 New sketch object rounded rectangle

one for aligned to axes vs rotateable, and one for centered vs. corner points. I propose in this case: "aligned" (means parallel) to a vertex or to axes ... (otherwise ... how to constraint the rotation ?!? ) And I'd realy like the Idea to click to points and a (rounded corner) rectangle ...

Re: PR #4835 New sketch object rounded rectangle

Hi All, imho any geometrical objects (primitives) should/might be intrinsic constrained: a rectangle e.g. using coincidence, parallel, orthogonal and length constraints. a paralleogram using coincidence parallel, length an angle constraints. a circle by radius or diameter. ( the mentioned slot by coin...

Re: Assembly 3 - no solver backend... (solved)

Hi,

I might be wrong ...

.. this might be caused due to @realthunder uses a kind of external solver in his linkstage3 branch which is not part of the "default" freecad master branch distribution ?!

Stefan

Re: Naming of FreeCAD entities

Hi all, Why not just rename PartDesign WB to BodyDesign WB. Just this single step alone might remove nearly all confuison, newbies are facing - regarding bodies vs. parts etc .... And "Body's" and other primitves assembles to Parts, many Parts assembles to assemblys, many assemblys assembl...

Re: FreeCAD for 2D drawing

How would you translate the '=' constraint to a TD drawing? How do you like to have your "design" decision that something has to be "=" documented? I might be wrong - but - right now - you can just make a screen-shot of your sketch, put it in a Word document or something else. C...
