Re: ubuntu 19.10 - sketcher freezes randomly for some seconds

Definitely not what I'm seeing.

My system slows down really quick, on model complexity, but when all I have is a box, it is approximately instant. My system is eight years old so it's probably one of the slower here.

Perhaps it is the display settings. Try to reset Deviation to 0.5 and AngularDeflection to 28.
Yes. That's it.

Now I can adjust parameters with 4.5s lag. Love it.

Thank you. 8-)

Re: Feature request: Preserve current value of property when converting to expression

(Y) I seem to have the same workflow as mghansen256. What would be mind blowing, for me (seems related. sorry for crapping on this excellent feature request), is if I could reference a Spreadsheet value by touching it with a mouse, like Excel can do on a sheet or even between workbooks. If there was...

Re: ubuntu 19.10 - sketcher freezes randomly for some seconds

Hi s-light. I wonder if your issue is the same as an issue I've been having since using FreeCAD. In fact, I have a document that locks up FreeCAD for 58 seconds. The file is attached. Changing any value in the spreadsheet will cause my system to go away for 58s. My system is an older machine, so it'...

Looking to extrude two solids SOLVED

I have two complex shapes I want to extrude. To simplify the question, I have created a simplified test document with two sketches. Trying to extrude both sketches yields the following error: "0.026132 <App> Document.cpp(3715): Failed to recompute Test1#Pad001: Pad: Result has multiple solids. This ...

Ikea LACK shelf laptop hangar

This is something I slapped together in 20 minutes and then 3d printed at 24 hours per bracket. It's not much, to say the least, but it illustrates the blue collar CAD capabilities of FreeCAD. I wanted a place to store the laptop to get it off the desk surface. In under a week, I was able to design ...

Looking for advice for centralizing data

I have a bunch of values like clearances for different fitment situations (tight, friction, loose, etc.) for various CNC platforms. Also, half of my projects seem to use 120mm fans. Then there are fastener dimensions.... The point being, is there a way to centralize this data and not have to re-ente...
