Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

@ Suraj On reviewing your current implementation, to make your work more useful to structural engineers / detailer, I suggest: 1. Practically, all tie covers i.e. left, right, top and bottom covers are equal. so, all covers should change according to first i.e. left cover of tie. 2. Add help button ...

Re: BCF Support GSoC Proposal

I am happy that you like my work, Yorik :) Good code will be liked and appreciated by all Coders :-) That is a good idea, I will certainly do that! The functional modules that are currently available (reader and writer) as well as the classes comprising the data model should not be used directly. I...

Normally one can edit a comment of an issue, but it will remain in the history of the issue that the comment was changed.

...for the suggestion of the pomodoro technique! <snip> it really helps a lot with staying motivated throughout the day! But I still have to get better in estimating the right number of pomodoros I need for a task That will take some time. Moreover for a new type of work, estimate may be come guest...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

While creating stirrups, if we set offset of tie to zero, then the bottom stirrup will go out of column IMO, in this case offset should be from end face of column to centre line of tie / stirrup. The checking its placement with zero offset, is just to check your logic. Practically, it never be less...

Re: BCF Support GSoC Proposal

Ok I will then go with the blog version :) FOSS culture is quite flexible. You may do as you wish. Another option be a sort of wiki page on your blog ;-) Have a blog post entitled "Dev Logs", and write every day. one or two lines, about what you did, or you did nothing (if that is the case), but yo...

Re: Felt in FEM Workbench

Why go for the dist-upgrade? Also, whats the function of the y flag? Though "bernd" has answered. Assuming you to be hacker (on the basis of your approach/discussion/progress in this Forum), mine answer would have been: man apt-get Of course, it would have missed his advise that give task to comput...

Re: BCF Support GSoC Proposal

Regarding your blog, no, I don't think it's necessary to post everyday at all. For me it is not absolutely needed to log something everyday. Sometimes we need a day or another to think how to do things. The important is that you keep a more or less sustained and regular effort throughout the GSOC p...
