Re: Draft Layers

Hi Yorik, I am glad to see Layers implemented. I made an experiment about this. I have not been able to solve the "update icon" issue. It would be really great to be able to force icon update. This little icon is a very "UX friendly" way to communicate some information to the user. I suppose it mean...

Re: AbstractSplitView get active viewer ?

Thanks a lot, Werner. Things get clearer. In fact, one of my attempts was pretty close. I found this SoViewportRegionElement class and tried : vre = coin.SoViewportRegionElement() >>>Traceback (most recent call last): File "<input>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/pivy/coin...

AbstractSplitView get active viewer ?

Hello, AbstractSplitView creates a tile of viewers. If you copy / paste the code below into the python console, and move the mouse over the viewers, you'll see in the report view that the mouse coordinates are relative to each viewer. import FreeCAD import FreeCADGui from pivy import coin def mouseP...

Re: Curved Shapes Workbench

Here : def execute(self, prop): execute() is one of the special methods of a FeaturePython Proxy object. It is, for example, called on document recomputes. FreeCAD calls it with its FeaturePython parent object as first argument. I don't think it is a good idea to override it that way. As it is now,...

Re: Curved Shapes Workbench

I didn't have a deep look, but it may come from here : https://github.com/chbergmann/CurvedShapesWorkbench/blob/master/CurvedArray.py#L41 You are storing a pointer to the FeaturePython object. That looks easier, but since it is not a standard python type, JSON is not able to save / restore it. You c...

Re: Curves workbench

I am not sure this can be fixed easily.
You can try a higher tolerance to reduce the wavy shape.
But there is another problem : at the very end of the curve, the tangent is wrong ... I don't know why.

Curve on Surface doesn't follow my curve.
It's starting too far and finishing too far as well.
Bug or not?
Hi,
Yes, it was a bug.
It should be fixed now.
Thanks.
