Rearranging PartDesign Loft Profiles

I just ran into the situation that I had a loft with three sketches and I wanted to insert another.

After trying various things, I just deleted the loft and created it anew.

Is there a smarter Way of handling that?

Re: How to split points in Sketcher?

I didn't know that. Thank you!

How to split points in Sketcher?

Often I have the situation that I want to untangle several geometries that meet at one point. The two ways I know to solve this is to either delete and rebuild some of the geometry, or to try and find the right Coincidence in the Constraint list and delete it. I haven't found a command or button to ...

Changing Parameters often messes up Sketches

I often try to use the sketcher to make something parametrical, for example a rounded box may have the width, height and radius as a parameter. Now, when those parameters change, the constraint solver will often mess up the sketch, for example by flipping one of the corner arcs, and not being able t...

Re: Sketcher constraints sometimes prevent selecting points

I normally only soom with the mousewheel, and the geometry positions do scale, but the Constraint symbols and numbers don't. So I can zoom in all I want, the problem persists. I may have to provide a screenshot next time I run into this.

Re: Recommendation: Mirror, MultiTransformFeature location in PartDesign

Most of the time, at least for me, I add the transform patterns at a later time, but mostly, the logical position in the step order would be after their origin feature(s).

I just wanted to raise the issue in case other people feel similarly. It's not a big deal of course!

Sketcher constraints sometimes prevent selecting points

I sometimes have the issue that constraint symbols and their numbers, especially two-digit numbers, can obscure the points they are attached to. The solution currently is to find the constraint in the constraint list and hide it. Maybe it would be a good idea to refine rendering the constraint symbo...

Recommendation: Mirror, MultiTransformFeature location in PartDesign

When I have a more complicated part, I tend to have different Sketch/Feature/Transform combinations in one object. Sometimes their order is interchangeable, sometimes not. Sometimes I don't add the transforms right away, but rather after I added other features. Now, both the normal features and the ...

Re: FDM G-code generation

Temperaturetowers are often sliced in usual slicer and then modified by a script that looks for the layer number to insert Temperature stuff. You can generate G-Code from Python without any FreeCAD at all. FC would only be useful if you want to use other FreeCAD objects, like Sketches, Wires or Shap...

Re: BSpline - Getting y-value to corresponding x-value

I don't think this even possible, in General. The BSpline is indeed a function that takes one dimension as input and returns two dimensions, x and y as output. The problem here is that one X value may have multiple Y values and vice versa. I don't know off-hand if there is a direct formula to get bo...
