Re: path workbench libgfortran.so.4 not found

Thanks for the detailed explanation on the dependency. Just for fun I tried symlinking libgfortran.so.4 -> libgfortran.so.5, that yielded another error about gfortran_7 not found (required by /usr/lib/libmed.so.1). Was worth a shot :D I checked to see where libgfortran was originating, and my packag...

Re: path workbench libgfortran.so.4 not found

Unfortunately not very far: I click on Path WB and it pops up that error.
The tool bar buttons do not switch to path (I had it on Part, and they remained).

path workbench libgfortran.so.4 not found

Hi guys, I'm trying out the path workbench for the first time and hitting a run time error finding libgfortran.so.4 https://i.imgur.com/yv8Fi54.png I tried to bring up cmake-gui and change the pointer, but its not visible in the advanced settings. I did find this on my system: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root...

Re: xcb problem when starting new build of freecad

While I'm not sure how much of a performance hit I'd take from disabling DRI3, I tried backstepping mesa from 18.0.0 to 17.3.7 and that resolved my issue without resorting to DRI disables.
Thanks for the pointer to the SUSE thread.

Re: problem with loft

Chris_ G: Ahh, thanks for explaining the importance of CLOSED.
I appreciat that. Yes, that resolved my issue and yielded a usable shape.

I will try transitioning to opencascade7 too.

Thanks to both of you!

problem with loft

I used to regularly create loft solids similar to this, but this one is does not work. The loft extends past the boundary of the last sketch and is not closed. https://i.imgur.com/uYptXy1.png I recently recompiled and moved to a git pull from OCE. Any idea what I did wrong? Re: finding QWebSettings

turns out I was mixing qt5 and qt4, in addition, I didn't have the qt4 package installed.
Sanity prevailed when I got all the parts together for qt4!
