Re: FreeCAD produce different results under the same input parameters

This should not happen in an engineering software. an engineer program should produce the same result when then inputs are the same, and on the same computer. All I do was change parameters, remesh and rerun. Finally I change the parameters to the original, but it produce different results. I have r...

FreeCAD produce different results under the same input parameters

I have a very simple testing model here. It shows that FreeCAD FEM will produce different results under the same input parameters The original model is 01.FCStd. The CAD parameters are linked to the Spreadsheet. After changing the input parameters in the Spreadsheet several times, and changed them b...

Re: [general] about the future of the FEM workbench

we should start a new topic for it. First of all we need a use case or a example analysis which uses more than one meshes. I assume you would not like just two meshes but three or four or even more. We need this to really know where we do one go. cheers bernd I do have a model with 4 parts, which w...

Re: [general] about the future of the FEM workbench

... I will vote for this (again) : 2. Support for multiple meshes Once this is done, a lot of things can be done and can be added on the script level. I really recommand getting this done first. multiple meshes is a difficault one to support as it would need significant changes in FEM code on vario...

Re: [general] about the future of the FEM workbench

Since in different threads we speak about the general things, I open this thread. Maybe a development roadmap wiki page for the FEM workbench would be a good idea, TechDraw and Path workbenches have something like that. For case 1., there is already ElmerGui available. it offers nice visualization,...

Getting OpenFOAM result using python script

Hi There, Is it possible to get the result of OpenFOAM using the python scripts ? I am mostly interested in getting result like flow rate/pressure on a specific inlet/outlet/face or other quantities. Or is it possible to get into these values into the Spreadsheet ? If it is not possible, which file ...
