Re: BRep_API: command not done trying to create a thickness
Hello, all, Here's another example of the same error, generated when trying to create a thickness. I've attached my file. it was generated by creating one-quarter of the body, then using MultiTransform to mirror it about two planes (see https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?p=655071#p655071). I...

Re: PartDesign: Mirroring a mirrored body?
@Shalmeneser , @chrisb, @drmacro , worked like a champ. Thank you so much. I wasn't even aware of the existance of the MultiTransform tool.

PartDesign: Mirroring a mirrored body? [SOLVED]
Hello, all, I'm trying to model a body that's symmetrical in both left-to-right and front-to-back dimensions. My thought was to only design one-quarter of the body, then mirror it along one plane, say the YZ plane, then mirror that mirrored body along the XZ plane. Can this be done? I get the messag...

Re: Current best practices to solve the 'pivy' problem?
adrianinsaval , thanks so much for the suggestion. Minor frustration (that I don't expect you to solve or answer): wmayer is so helpful and posts so much that they have almost 2000 pages of mentions, and searching for 'wmayer' as an author and 'pivy' as a term is rejected because 'pivy' is too comm...

Current best practices to solve the 'pivy' problem?
Hello, all. Happy New Year! I'd like advice on how to best solve the 'pivy' problem with Text Draw. I think this also affects Draft->Shape from Text. It mostly manifests itself in error messages like, "<built-in function SoFieldContainer_getField> returned a result with an exception set." ...

Re: Can't make circle centerpoints appear
Can you change vertex size or line width? If not, and you got FreeCAD from the PPA, then it is probably 6698 . Yep, I installed it with: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freecad-maintainers/freecad-stable sudo apt install --install-recommends freecad I can't find any options in TechDraw Preferences labe...

Re: Can't make circle centerpoints appear
@Shalmeneser , thanks for fully constraining it. I'll work with it later when I have time to see if this makes a difference in the TechDraw output.

Re: Can't make circle centerpoints appear
Thank, wandererfan , for your suggestion. Had Edit->Preferences... TechDraw Scale set as: Vertex Scale: 1; Center Mark Scale 2. No matter how much I zoomed in, I couldn't see any centerpoints. Set Vertex Scale: 5 Center Mark Scale 0.5, as you did. Grabbed a new View and placed it on the TechDraw pag...

Can't make circle centerpoints appear
Hello, all, I'm trying to layout the front panel of a cabinet for the cut-outs for components. No matter what I try, I can't get the centerpoints of the circles to appear. I want to take the 1:1 drawing and stick it to the actual front panel and mark the corners and centers of holes with a punch, th...
