Re: Wire is not closed (file attached)
Look at the bottom of the Sketcher Task Panel, at the Elements section. Edge8 and Edge9 are identical and overlap. You can hover over the elements to see them light up. Gene Thanks! You're right. But another interesting thing is coming: why the revolution works with the initial file in my case? (FC...

sketch_no_problem.gif two lines overlapoverlap.png Greetings user1234 Strange: I've deleted one constraint and pushed apart a sketch - I've got no any problem. I've got: one line of "external geometry" (violet color), one line of "help-construction mode" (light blue color) &...

I use official version FC 0.19, Ubuntu 20.04 and revolution works well with your file: (There's some warning in the report view - but I'm not a programmer, so I don't understand - does it have any relation to your file or not)

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
I think I realized the difference between mechanical engineering and design engineering . I'm fond of design in different areas: building, interior, exterior, some exclusive decorative arrays and stuff... And of coarse, one of my needs - quantity parameters besides the design visualizations. Even in...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
Is it a deliberate decision to "lock" the Part's LCS(s) inside the sub-assembly or it's a technical difficulty? both: it is doable as a such, but leads to complications in the code that must be able to deal with any possible combination (how many levels would be allowed ? 2 ? 3 ? infinity...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
An example of more than 10 parts (I don't give up hope to find a comfortable workflow to count electric equipment&cables one day. In this example I assemble an electric box with breakers as particular asm (every breaker has an "out" for cable, which I'm going to construct in-context of...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
Very often I make some sub-assemblies with more than 10 Parts containing LCS(s) that I use in the main assembly. I fail to see your workflow. I tend to make logical and hierarchical sub-assemblies that are as much as possible self-contained, and thus need little information from other sub-assemblie...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
Did you think about the "through" model of LCS's access hierarchy? it exists now for the import of LCSs (and datums in general): you can "jump" several levels at once, and import an LCS from a part in a sub-sub-sub-assembly into the top-level assembly in 1 go. Simply select a da...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
@Zolko, hello! A question about LCS hierarchy/// As I know: to use LCS(s) which are belong to sub-assembly's Part - we need to use "Import" function - that makes a duplicated LCS(s) in the root of sub-assembly. Very often I make some sub-assemblies with more than 10 Parts containing LCS(s)...
