Re: NaroCad

Salome is far more a FEM software (with very basic modeling capability), isn't it ?

The site of GraphiteOne is dead :

Re: NaroCad

The situation seems pretty clear. FC is the only open-source CAD software based on OCCT available and still *living*. There was a commercial attempt called GraphiteOne, died long ago.

@chrisb

There are situations multiple selections (with shift) don't apply the color to every object selected (even if the blue background is activated.)

Re: About color consistency.

Of course I'm not trying to impose my personal choice. I stated black because it's the default setting (25, 25, 25) already present. Above all I like this sort of thing kept *simple*. I would like something in the general preference menu as an option giving to user this control : "Whatever how your ...

Re: About color consistency.

Ok, but don't you think all edges and vertexes from a solid should be painted black, whatever the process used to generate this solid ? I don't see any reason not following this coherent and simple scheme, anywhere. And I want to keep all stuffs related to sketches in white, to have a clear distinct...

Re: About color consistency.

I have a huge project within every part generated with Part (and none with PartDesign.) Yet there is the difference I'm spotting. PS Actually each feature (Revolve, Extrude, etc) holds it in white. If I do for example a Cut=(Revolve - Extrude), the the solid switches to black. But in an assembly the...

About color consistency.

Hi FC people. I'm satisfied with all the default color tuning (sober and neat), except one thing. I noticed that solids generated from a sole operation (revolution, extrusion, etc) have edges and vertexes displayed in white (which color I reserve to sketches.) For the sake of consistency, could it b...

Re: Confirmation about external sketches.

OK... so after checking this, a macro is probably the tool the more suited to my needs. I tried asm3 several months ago, but now I will be patient and wait for the definitive integration of a WB assembly, I want now to stick to the "official" code. I can do some very useful work with a2+ despite som...

Re: Confirmation about external sketches.

The import function in itself doesn't keep externalized the targeted sketch, which is a mandatory requirement for my need. But indeed a macro may do the job (and a good start point for tackle the domain of macros.)
