Re: Ticket #4411 - Can only generate pocket once for this shape, then it fails.

Is there a next step in administration of this ticket? I see Russ committed fixes which were now merged into master, so i assume the bug is fixed, but i see no status changes of the ticket on the tracker? The wiki about the tracker ( https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Tracker ) is a good start, but isn't t...

Re: Can only generate pocket once for this shape, then it fails.

Please try to recompute the whole model before creating the Path oprration. That is indeed a workaround for this bug. I'm not familiar with the bug reporting here, what's the next step? We've got the bug confirmed, and a workaround established, but it's still an issue of course (you can hardly expe...

Ticket #4411 - Can only generate pocket once for this shape, then it fails.

I was using Path with the attached file, and came across this really annoying bug for the plane highlighted in this screenshot bug plane.png I create a pocket operation for it (all default setings), and that works perfectly, it generates the toolpath, everything is fine. Re: Assembly 4 workbench

2) No, it has to be inside the body to be able to use it you're right. I don't use datum points like that, that's why I didn't see it before. So you have 2 solutions: 1) don't use PartDesign (at all) 2) draw your sketches in the Part container, and do the extrusions (or whatever) in the Body. It wi...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

When i import the datum point, it's part of my App:Part, which is useless for the bodies i'm working on, it needs to be inside of the body 1) Yes (it's in the Part) 2) Why ? (can't you use it inside the Body) 2) No, it has to be inside the body to be able to use it? (at least, i think so. If i clic...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Is there some other create datum point button somewhere so i can make it directly in the assembly part? yes, in the Assembly4 workbench directly: either from the menu, the toolbar or from the contextual menu when an App::Part is selected. And it creates the datum objects directly where you need it....

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Made a body there, made sure that body is the active body, selected the datum point, and pressed the import datum object button that i put a red square around in the image. If i understand your explanation correctly, this is what i'm supposed to be doing? Ah OK, I understand. No, only datum objects...
