Re: The FreeCAD manual

I haven't created a gitbook account, so I'm not 100% sure what's on that site. But I'd recommend reading the manual on the wiki until the new manual has been finished, since the wiki is updated by the community. Additional note: For readers who want to get the most out of the manual, I'll note the ...

David,

I'm a little unclear on what you're asking, did you already read the Template:BIMTutorialAction?

Re: 2d drafting issue

I had the same problem at first. Try unchecking the "relative" box when you are creating the first line: for me, it caused the second set of coordinates to be added to the first rather than being absolute coordinates. Let me know if that fixes the problem so that the documentation can be clarified.

Re: What is XDirection property?

The second paragraph is a tough read. Don't have a replacement off the top of my head. What I'm trying to say is that the view will be rotated by some angle. What angle? The angle that you rotate the "XDirection" property vector by to move it in 3D space to where the projection plane's x-axis is si...

Re: PR #2920 [Stylesheets] Missing SVG for vertical toolbars added

Pablo, I have a somewhat related question for you. When looking at your commit, I noticed that you have material in the FreeCAD codebase that is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. It is easy to find online documentation that says that the CC BY-SA 4.0 ...

Re: Path_3DPocket vs Path_Pocket_3D

Also changing the {{GuiCommand}} name of the page breaks the link to this commands related logo https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/File:Path-3DPocket.png What should I do to fix this? Is there a way to alter https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Template:GuiCommand so it looks for the image elsewhere? You c...

Re: What is XDirection property?

Wandererfan, I propose making the following changes to the wiki documentation, and possibly the tool tip, for the Direction and XDirection properties of TechDraw NewView. Direction: The direction vector to the position you are looking from. The reason for this change is that I confused the wording ...
