Re: 90° arc becomes 270° when changing dimensions

Yes it works. Another way of doing this belt. Thanks.
Is this a known issue ?

90° arc becomes 270° when changing dimensions

Hi everybody I have a design (more or less complicated) in which there is a nylon belt. I use a spreadsheet. To show the interior of the design, I use an "exploding_distance" parameter. When set to 0mm, the assembly of multiple bodies is shown in it's normal configuration. When set to any positive v...

Re: Frustrations with FreeCAD

Sorry for being long. I type nearly as fast as I speak. FreeCAD has no strict development plan, stuff is done when it's done, often in a way "better to have something inconvenient than nothing at all". Sorry, you have to live with it, I don't think it's going to change any time soon. From one of my ...

Re: Union of three bodies fails

A boolean in a PartDesign body is different from a boolean in Part: Like all other features it adds/subtracts from the solid created so far. As you don't have a solid if the boolean is the first item in the body, fancy things can happen. PartDesign Booleans are not really a replacement for Part Boo...

Re: Frustrations with FreeCAD

Hi I came on the same path : some (little) experience with Solidworks, need something equivalent for a personnal design. Having the methodology for designing parametric 3d parts and assemblies on SW, I thought it would be easy to learn FC. Well, it proved definitely not ! Having read on forums that ...

Union of three bodies fails

Hi everyone I tried to make an union of three bodies. One central is a clone of a model cube, the two others are clones of a model half cylindre. I create my three clones, add a translation on x on the first half cylindre, a rotation around y and an opposed translation on x on the second half cylind...

Re: Problem : creating a vertical plane with rotation

Just for information, if somebody follows this path. After creating the plane attached to XZ, to rotate it on the Z axis of the body, in the "placement" dialog box, axis Y must be set as the rotation axis. I suppose the rotation is defined relatively to the plane's axes instead of those of the body....

No real bug here. You select no reference -> your datum plane is not attached. This is even told to user by the small purple icon you see in the Tree View (in your pictures, overlaid with the datum plane icon).
The one for which you want to open a ticket.
