Re: Tutorial : Introduction to mechanical engineering with FreeCAD

Excellent tutorial, JPG.... Very well laid out, nice flow to the presentation, and fabulous animated diagrams. I also learned that "soustractive is french for "subtractive". I thought it was a recurring typo at first, then I finally determined that it was French. This is a beautifully designed intro...

Re: microphone button replacement with FreeCAD

Papyblaise,

I was able to thin out the tabs and covert it to STL so now I can print the button.

Thank you again, so much. Thanx to ChrisB also.

Re: microphone button replacement with FreeCAD

The problem I had was that the sketches on the Y/Z-plane were inside the block where I could not see what I was doing. The learni...

Re: microphone button replacement with FreeCAD

Hi most of you folks could produce a working STL file in 10 minutes yes i agree  (sorry) I finish your job and change nothing Merci, Papyblaise... this is pretty much what I need. The vertical tabs are only 1mm thick instead of 2mm but I may be able to modify that with one more pocket in the X...

microphone button replacement with FreeCAD

FreeCAD has a very long steep learning curve. After 6 hours of work, I only have the basic box for my microphone button. This project is so simple, most of you folks could produce a working STL file in 10 minutes, but for me it is 6 hours and counting. I cannot cut out the tabs with the locking wedg...
