Re: Assembly 4 workbench

You may not add/subtract any sketch edges or vertices if you have LCS's attached to the sketch. Thank you for confirming. Another way "around" I've used is to create a new sketch and link its motion to the original one using Expressions. A bit cumbersome, but saves me redefining multiple LCS. I ass...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Is it just my impression or when I edit a sketch to which a LCS is attached I end up breaking the definition of the LCS? It's as if the vertices and edges in the sketch get renamed or reordered or relabeled and then my LCS ends up somewhere different with a different orientation... If it is really s...

Re: snapping to right angles when rotating the view

Thanks all for your tips. Building up on them I've ended up coding a macro that does precisely what I was looking for by rounding the Euler angles of the camera to be multiples of 90° so long as they are not further away than the threshold maxEAD . The reason for the threshold is so that if I am loo...

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same question and the link was changed, here is the new doc link: https://coin3d.bitbucket.io/Coin/classSoCamera.html

Use the add-on macro FCCamera.
thanks, "align to Face" is close enough to what I was looking for. Is there a way to dock the Macro dialog so that it becomes a pane?

@papyblaise: thanks for the tip, but that still rotates the view in the plane

snapping to right angles when rotating the view

I move a lot around my objects and often I want to see "orthogonally" what is going on. If I click the cube where "Left", "Top", "Rear", etc is written, the view will be rotated to show the "correct" orientation of the chosen side (Top, Rear, etc). But what if I want to simply align my current view ...

[Bug/Feature] "add to custom colors" behavior

I'm using 0.19 When I change the colors of an object through the pop-up dialog there is an "add to custom colors" button. It works, but if the color I want to add to the custom colors is that of the object itself (so that I did not manually select it through the color picker, for example) it will al...
