Re: Richauto A18
Is this ok? It's already better, but we are not there yet. You can check yourself: Open the attached sketch, File->Import, select gcode, select file and confirm, select none as preprocessor and confirm. Now you see the gcode produced. Usually I like to see a tombstone with a width of 10mm. Your pat...

Re: Richauto A18
I downloaded your attached file to my desktop. When I try to import it into FreeCAD, I get this far:
File->Import, select gcode
No file is there so it doesn't seem to recognize the file extension.

Re: Richauto A18
I'm afraid this doesn't help at all, because we don't know the input. Nevertheless you should edit your post and enclose the code with code tags (use </>-Button). What I would like to see is the GCode loaded on your machine for something like this. (0,0) is at the left lower corner. Finally getting...

Re: Richauto A18
That is great news! I really appreciate it. I will make a simple drawing in FreeCAD with a couple arcs as suggested earlier in this thread, create the paths, and try it on some scrap. I also want to thank the developers working on FreeCAD and let you know how much I appreciate the fact that it runs ...

Re: Richauto A18
yeah, he even said it's the post processor code, not actual gcode :) edit: I had the mistaken impression that OP has vcarve already and is looking to switch to freecad, after re-reading it doesn't seem to be the case; after the cursory look at the richauto list of supported GCode, I'd just try the ...

Re: Richauto A18
Hi guys, and thanks for responding. I don't know if this will help, but here is a .tab file generated by Vcarve to cut the CNC Router Parts dust collector shoe. I generated it using the post processor given me by Omni, my machine manufacturer. It has two circles and two arcs. N0 G40G17G80G90G54 N10 ...

Re: Richauto A18
Hi sliptonic, I want to replace the Richauto controller because I don't really like it. I would feel more comfortable controlling my CNC with a computer running LinuxCNC. I find with the pendant I don't really know what is going on once I execute the job. I also can't seem to change feeds/speeds. Re...

Re: Richauto A18
Ok, I'm not sure how to get that. I'm new to all of this so I have to learn as I go. I'm still trying to decipher the wiring diagrams between the Mesa and Richauto controllers. If I could get that done the post processor will be a moot point, but I don't know how long that will take. The Richauto co...

Re: Richauto A18
I have the post processor for Vectric Vcarve that I got from my sales rep at Omni where I bought the machine. I don't know if looking at the code will help?I am posting the text of the processor below: Note: I'm not sure why there are strike-throughs on the lower section. They do not appear in the t...
