Re: FreeCAD Applink file - very slow to work on

Hi arnn, The TechDraw pages need to be set for manual updates. Right Click over each page and toggle Keep Updated to off. Save your file and speeds return to normal. There is something going on in Page 004 which slows things down. I'd look very closely at the view. TechDraw pages being automaticall...

how did you adjust the triangulation
The simple method is to use Edit >> Preferences >> Part Design >> Shape View

Capture.PNG

I am using the smallest allowed deviation, but that is slow in some cases. I like the smoother view, so that is what I use in most cases.

thank you

FreeCAD Applink file - very slow to work on

Hello everyone. I have been using freecad for a while now and have recently tried to work on a file with Applink models. This particular file has become very slow, it takes about 5 min to open and any operation w.r.t the applink models (like delete, move, copy) is again very slow (5mins approx ...

Awesome, that is what I was expecting to hear. @DeepSOIC Thanks for referring me to the property that has to be adjusted.
Hi, how did you adjust the triangulation. I am stuck with a similar situation.

Re: V0.19 Top Down Assembly Design Using Assembly4

Thats a great tip. I would like to add one tidbit of information concerning this master sketch LCS jumping phenomenon. I have found out that it is a great help to use map mode OZX , i.e., the "Align-O-Z-X" (or any of the other coordinate permutations) attachment option. There, you first select an Ve...

Columns positioning in selective grid location

Hi All, I am new in freecad and is very excited about starting to use Freecad in my work. I was trying to position columns in grid intersections. However, the columns are getting placed in all grid intersections. This doesn't help much as all the columns are not of same size and I would like to posi...

I was doing some testing on a tower pc with a ultra wide monitor and thought that Freecad looks just beautiful.

Re: Spreadsheet and sketch parameters: incompatible units for + operator

Thanks for this solution There is one point to say. The FreeCAD spreadsheet is different to other spreadsheets. It is not enough to put mm in the displayed unit, to make it a value with the length property attached. You have to explicitly put in the value with the unit. Or if it is just a number com...
