Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

All biscuits, no matter the size, are 4mm thick. The radius of all biscuits is 50mm. They are cut with a 100mm diameter blade. The only difference between biscuit sizes is the height (and consequent width).

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

Not sure I was clear. I believe the ability to have multiple grains on a panel is a bug.

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

Is there a way to change the default panel ? I am building a project that uses exclusively 90mm x 35 mm beams, and it's tedious having to change the dimensions of each panel as I add it. You can see the project below, laboriously drawn in SketchUp. I am trying to convert this to the Woodworking work...

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

It was a rhetorical question. I wasn't asking whether it was possible in real life, but noting that it was possible to record multiple grains in the workbench. Note the example below where a face is all 3 at once.

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

2. Grain

It is possible to set a face to H grain, V Grain and No Grain, all at the same time. Surely they are mutually exclusive?

The doco from grainX seems to have a copy/paste error where it says "This tool creates horizontal grain direction description at selected face"

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

New user, so I apologise for the blizzard of dumb questions, and suggestions. I'll separate posts by issue. 1. Any support for support of biscuits? Biscuits are a very good alternative to dowels, and any implementation could leverage off that for dowels. Biscuits are functionally equivalent to dowel...

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

I am quite competent with FreeCAD, but I am really struggling with this workbench. I have spent many hours trying to understand it, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it. I currently use SketchUp for woodwork, and it requires explicit positioning of every cube. When you change dimensions, it'...

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

Just resolved question 2. Stumbled over the note that the workbench version must match the FreeCAD version. I'm running FreeCAD 0.21. Latest workbench release is 0.20. Downloaded the latest master and my workbench is now 0.21. The Anchor icon has also appeared. I still have much to learn, and are st...

Re: Cabinet furniture design tools workbench

Just stumbled over this workbench, and it looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Naturally, as a newbie, I've stumbled at a few early hurdles. 1. When I try to install the workbench from Tools | Addon manager I get an error message "README.md not found" and the install fails. I got aroun...

Re: Constraining a bspline

I don't seem to be able to drag the diameter of the control circles. Because the sketch is constrained?

My bsplines seems to have an array of normals displayed, whilst most others I've seen do not. How do I turn them off?
