Unsuccesfull to create tapered shape.

Hello I'm trying to make a tapered cookie mold like in the included picture: endgoal.jpeg The source image I have is: 2022-12-09_19-10.png vorm.svg I tried 3 ways none of them work for me. Make a straight shape and make a chamfer of unequal sides. I'm not able to make a chamfer Try to extrude the SV...

Re: part wb boolean common on draft array

This is the output I'd like to get but then fully parametric. This is not parametric anymore

Re: part wb boolean common on draft array

By doing this I noticed that the edges of my slices are not straight but they have the curvature of the revolved body which is normal just like a slice of cake. I don't understand. Please elaborate. As you can see in the picture the outline of the segment has an angled or curved edge instead of a 2...

This would work for the example above but not for a shape like this attached one. I would like to know procedure to do this that also works for shapes that are more complicated than a revolve.

Re: part wb boolean common on draft array

Set Fuse=true in the Array properties. Thanks for the fast answer this does the trick indeed. By doing this I noticed that the edges of my slices are not straight but they have the curvature of the revolved body which is normal just like a slice of cake. As I don't want this I've repeat this operat...

part wb boolean common on draft array

Hello I'm trying to do something I wand to be able to slice a 3d model in polar slices that can be laser cut or cnc routed. but when I increase the part count of the draft polar array in such way they start overlapping I can't use the boolean operator anymore. So in this example for a higher array p...

Re: Array with varying parameters

Bance wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 6:29 pm Use Multi-transform it has scaling.
Cool I did a quick test and that could work. But what if I would like to do something more complex where an equation in function of x and y determines the size or a parameter?

Array with varying parameters

I'd like to make a plate with a 2d Array of rectangles cut out. with each column the rectangle width increases with for example 0.1mm. And for each row the height increases with for example 0.1mm. Is there an easy way to do something like this parametric? This shouldn't be hard to do with openSCAD o...
