Re: MSVC2013 c++11 support

I found some comment about a bug in MSVC2015 making it slow: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/users/6353/4fb01a86-f01b-4f49-80f2-bc155417c447.html I tried with MSVC2017: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/yorikvanhavre/freecad/builds/23927302 https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/1974 But ...

Re: Sketcher Triangle Constraint issue

It makes perfectly sense, and I see that by internally removing the constraint no further issues in later steps are to be expected. However, I don't like to have constraints in my sketch that are used only partially, so I would like to have some kind of strict mode, where I simply get a message lik...

Re: BSpline to Sketch: missing control points

Internal Alignment constraints is a nice concept, but probably the Sketcher would benefit from some UI cleaning. That button works great. The command to create manually internal alignment constraints (Ctrl-A) in the menu constraints should probably go. Currently it is not implemented for all shapes ...

Re: Sketcher Triangle Constraint issue

The example is nevertheless interesting: I can add a coincidence constraint between the rightmost point of the rectangle and the origin. Before applying the skecth has 1 DOF, the coincidence consumes 2, so the sketch should be overconstrained. Alas it is not. ping This is another example of a parti...

Re: GCS - Reference to equations in code

I have created a ticket issue #3929.

Logari suggest to test it with a properly implemented bool flag and without and take the one working best.

the real problem is that it is timing out.
Ah! I thought that FreeCAD had extra time and that only when you were running it as yourself it timed out.

I read somewhere about extra time, but maybe it was for Travis... :(

Re: MSVC2013 c++11 support

This happens with what version of the Libpack? this one https://github.com/apeltauer/FreeCAD/releases/download/LibPack_12.1/FreeCADLibs_12.1.2_x64_VC15.7z the issue could be with just properly setting up the appveyor environment, but since appveyor is often timing out on us it probably makes more s...

Re: GCS - Reference to equations in code

If you found that it should be easy to find any error too :o . The first to determine is whether it was intended or not. The thing is that the book indicates that to avoid the Maratos effect (an effect that impedes progression in the minimisation problem), a second order function may be used. About...

Re: GCS - Reference to equations in code

I found it. :)

The book is called:
Numerical Optimization - Jorge Nocedal, Stephen J. Wright

Chapter 18 is about SQP, and equation 18.28 is about linear search and matches the if statement.
