Marking PartDesign not properly attached datums

I am doing a medium size project, and one problem I have come across is that when reworking a part done with PartDesign, in which datum planes and lines where used attached to a master sketch, the datum planes and lines eventually lost the link (probably licit because of the rework), but nevertheles...

Re: Copy Shapebinder geometry as construction geometry

I think thats what Abdullah is working on. 4. Select shape binder. 5. Project all geometry as reference geometry. Here I am not sure. A shape binder, I think (I have not used it often and only for simple things), can be anything, not necessarily a face, so I do not know how viable it may be to impo...

Re: Copy Shapebinder geometry as construction geometry

1. Create a sketch. 2. Select a face. 3. Press "project geometry" or a version thereof. 4. Voilà! All references vertices, arcs and lines are now references in your sketch. I think thats what Abdullah is working on. ping The problem with using the Draft-way is often that it is not parametric. I do ...

Re: Can't find missing two degrees of freedom

I cannot know what you were intending to do, but if you can reproduce the zero length line, I am interested. I created a zero length constraint between two circle radius in a new project, but everything look good. I can save it, close it, and reopen it without problem. When you load it, do you see ...

Re: Can't find missing two degrees of freedom

I think it refers to the constrains where I intended to define that the center of two circle should have the same X coordinate. How else could I accomplish this? Very simply. :) Select both circle centers, and just add a Sketcher ConstrainVertical constraint. ;) Also how can I check what degrees of...

Re: Can't find missing two degrees of freedom

There was a line of zero length. I think it refers to the constrains where I intended to define that the center of two circle should have the same X coordinate. How else could I accomplish this? I prefer this over defining two separate constraints from the edge to the center of the circles. Also ho...

Re: QtXmlPatterns Available in Travis Win Build?

We're having some trouble debugging PR 2238 . Builds & tests fine in Linux, but we get a failure for Win: c:\users\travis\build\freecad\freecad\src\mod\techdraw\app\qdomnodemodel.h(4): fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'QAbstractXmlNodeModel': No such file or directory [C:\Users\travis\b...

Re: [Bug] Sketcher falsely report line already constrained

Just found a bug in sketcher. To reproduce, just consider the simple sketch below (also attached as FCStd file) : bugConstraint.png * Select the vertical constraint and apply on the upper left line => Sketcher (wrongly) reports the line has being already constrained vertical * Select the horizontal...

The Travis test failure thread

Hi, one thread for reporting test failures :) So as the title says we have a failing tests in the wild: ====================================================================== ERROR: test_tetra10_yml (femtest.testmesh.TestMeshEleTetra10) ---------------------------------------------------------------...
