Re: App::Link: the big merge

There is indeed a lot of work in here. I am mobile, but I have been able to browse through part of the code. I have seen several things I have liked a lot, such as relying on templates for the property lists, or having a touched boolean property flag for groupextensions. There are some modifications...

Re: Sketcher - Auto Remove Redundants - disabling - Feature request

User do make mistakes from time to time. Whenever I have seen this message I cannot remember wanting the new constraint, usually I simply had missed that it was already there, in rare cases I had missed that it could be derived. This is generally the case for me too. The only way to handle this con...

Re: sketcher: wrong redundancy solving with symmetry

I think it (not ignoring partial redundancies) is not practical for the average user, but I will consider an orthodox mode for diehard DoF lover power users ;) For me a more or less generic solver message would be sufficient, perhaps showing in yellow to indicate a warning and not an error. Going t...

Re: Sketcher - Auto Remove Redundants - disabling - Feature request

Imagine you draw a sketch in sketcher. The shown one is just an simplified example sometimes there are x10 of constraints. If one adds to many constraints than they get removed automatically as happened in the shown example when adding the horizontal constraints "50mm". This should only happen with...

Re: Marking PartDesign not properly attached datums

If the code is acceptable, the icon may be changed: I realized today that this feature is available. And indeed the icon is ... awful. :lol: I could claim I did it awful on purpose, but it is a combination of lack of artistic skills and lack of interest. Whatever icon that the long discussion ends-...

Re: sketcher: wrong redundancy solving with symmetry

These two conditions are essentially two underlying constraints that are applied under the hood to realize the symmetry. Ah, now I get it and understand what the problem is. I thought the symmetry constraint was a constraint of its own and not set in 2 steps but as one step. Maybe this could improv...

The thing with the order of the constraints giving different solver results is IMO a bug and should be investigated further.

Re: Constraints extended naming

We have this offset in other places too in FreeCAD, e.g. faces, edges and vertices show this offset as well. Then it is time to fix this ;) I don't see a reason why numbers are different in the dialogs than in the scripts. This is error-prone and I don't think users have a problem that numbers in t...

Re: Part Geometry Extensions

I think I have finished the development. It won't be merged before v0.19. If you want to try it you may download the PR below. Hi @abdullah I've tested some coding in using your Geometry Extension. Would it be possible to display and edit extension through the Gui, inside the sketcher? i.e. I would...

Yesterday my computer crashed and it will take me some more time to set-up an alternative.
Sorry for your loss! and thanks for the merge... it was a nice surprise :)
