Crash

I can normally open any file, but if I run first the unit tests and then try to open a file FC crashes every time and with every file type (FCStd, stp, ifc) OS: Windows 10 (10.0) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.17433 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 1...

Re: Marking PartDesign not properly attached datums

Existing icon seems quite clear to be an electrical plug and it seems fine to me... Catia has something similar (red lightning, or something like it) to show such objects cat.png electrical-plug.jpg can the tree view maybe have another column for status icons, much like DAGView has? But would it be ...

Crossbeam exercise

Are we up for a new challenge? How far can we push existing FC surface design, what is working, what is missing, what are the workarounds,... ? :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaFpFGqyiLw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFKSGuPdKaw https://grabcad.com/library/crossbeam-exercise-files-for-catia-v5...

Re: How to create BIM slabs from fusion faces

A bit of topic but still related... You seem to have quite a bit of experience with Grasshopper and I guess you have also worked a bit with Catia xGenerative Design, have you seen this https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=36299&start=40 ? Isn't "Active Topic" something that gives at least the basic functionality of that?

Re: Assembly3 preview

On the other hand, there are special code inside topo naming algorithm (especially for history back tracing and coloring) to deal specifically for external linked object. It will be more difficult to rip out that part of code than the other way round, because I did develop Link first. I understand ...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Huh ? You thought about LinkGroup as a container for parts, as replacement for App::Part ? That's going to be an uphill battle IMHO. Yes and this is how it was designed from the beginning, support for Part actually came later and this is exactly my point. I don't actually have much of a problem wit...
